This was the dyno run we did with the CAT club back in November 2004. Made around 360HP and 390 lb ft at around 5700 RPM at the wheels. With 17% losses that makes around 434HP & 470 lb ft at the crank! With under 2400 lbs it makes for an exciting ride.

  • did you use a newer 5.0 block? Whats the gear ratio? Tell me about the cam. OK, so I am agent 86 snooping at internals. You said its 2200 lbs, did you lighten it up? 400 lbs is alot to take off!

  • It is a 5.0 HO block with hydraulic roller. TFS stage II hydraulic roller cam. Stock is2565 lbs. Alum Heads save 50lbs, Alum intake save 40 lbs, Alum rad save 70lbs, no drum brakes, 25 lbs, glass hood 40 lbs. so agent 86,would you believe 225 saved and 2340 lbs?

Guess 2200 lbs full of crap shame on me. recent dyno run prod. 381 HP at wheels with 405 lb ft with 17% corr. that is 459HP and 487lbft at crank. So would you believe 5.09lb per 1 horsepower, still able to deface public property at will.

  • is that the 4.7 v8

  • It started lif as a Mustang 5.0 HO engine at 302 cubic inches. It was stroked to 349.6 using a Lunati EA-31 stroker kit.

  • oh. my.. british styling and american balls!

oh i soooo want one.. but there was never any indication of what the dyno showed..

  • Sure it does read the detail ... :) works out to 6.1 lbs per H1 orse Power

  • any 1/4 mile times?

  • Cont. In early 90s I worked for Ford Motorsports, traded 2 70 hour work week checks for alumin heads and $17 leftover. I've figure 380 HP at fly but am amazed at the stroker kits now avail, but need reliability. I have mind set on TriY headers, even if I have to make'em, 3.31 Powerlock, 5.0 88' hipo block, orig TL 4spd,a Performer RPM or Torker 2 manif, Manley 2.02/1.60 undercut stems, SVO 1.72 rollers gives .516 lift, I think its 284 and 224 at .050 but is amplified with rockers. Red at 6300?

  • My Holley Pro Jection is lighter than a double pumper so that will save me a bit. Also have the Alan Root alum heads, circa 1992 Ford Motorsports but have yet to get gas through them. Also, I've got a rear disc package built from a Mazda MX9? MX19? 245/45ZR16 rears will ad some weight to me, as will 4-6 point roll bar. The CAT hood is cool but almost like the sleeper look without scoops. My project started in 1990 but so many setbacks. I Have a B303 cam, bought when only 2 choices from Ford.

  • is that the 4.7 v8

  • oh yeah.. duuuhr.. still like them better than the ac
