Quite possibly the smallest working backhoe you'll ever see. I built it onto the back of my riding mower. Lots of fun!

  • I agree completely. Thanks for the post.

  • did u make the whole backhoe

  • Yep. Sure did. I was bored.

  • He could have dug faster than this with a broken shovel. The problem with a backhoe this small is that there is not enough weight in the lawnmower to take a big scoop, it would just pull the mower forward.

  • Notice the blocks in front of the rear wheels to keep that from happening. She worked great!

  • thats the coolest thing ive ever seen!

  • It was great! Wish I didn't sell it.

  • i custom build them as well, loaders an pontoon boats an more

  • u needed to place stabalizing legs on back(with maybe small spikes that could extend for grip)

  • she'd turn over if you went to the side

  • You should've went all-out and built a loader bucket for the front-end. I like this though, they need to sell backhoe kits for riding mowers (maybe they do), these would come in handy around the yard.

Of course your not going to go out and try to dig a 5 acre pond or anything, but these are obviously useful.

  • The problem is that the hoe is attached to a lawnmower and it has no outriggers. For flatland use you could get by with it on a lawnmower but without outriggers you can not brace yourself so you can really dig. I too built a hoe of this size but I have tractors that it will fit that are a bit heavier one being a John Deere MC.

  • That's pretty cool. Some teeth would help it dig alot better and get rid of those 2 way valves and get a couple of 4 way valves and you have better control of your movements.

  • We need a how to video posted please.

  • @mugwump666 It dose not matter how functional it is its cool as hell and I bet fun to run
