A short impressive and informative film which I downloaded from Naomi Klein's page, it is a description of her book 'The Shock Doctorine/The Rise of Disaster Capitalism'..

'The only way to resist shock is to know what is happening and why?' N.Klein

  • US GOVERNMENT TORTURE MANUAL: "Isolation, both physical and psychological, must be maintained from the moment of apprehension." Our military has done this to Pfc Bradley Manning from the time they detained him in Kuwait. The puppet government is torturing him because he risked his life in a desperate attempt to get the truth out to us. Fascists are slowly assassinating him to terrorize his family, friends and other dissenters. Citizens unwilling to fight for his freedom are willing slaves.

  • Every American should read this book! The upper 5% have declared War on the middle class. It is time to fight back!

  • Excellent book. This is a v simple and brief summary of it but Klein's argument is actually complex and very lucid. With the shit Cameron's gov't are pulling now I'm inclined to re-read it.

  • Like someone else said, read the book then judge.

People's attention spans have gone to shit in general.

One YouTube video and everyone's an expert.

  • I found this video from Ponychan.net.

  • This has actually been going on for my lifetime--9/11 just gave Friedman and his acolytes an opening to speed up their dogma. Which is not "more government" is is NO REGULATION of the "free market".

  • Such "disaster capitalism" coincides directly with the attempt to implement a free-market society. I believe Klein is suggesting that no free and informed society actively chooses a laissez faire market system, but it is often enforced brutally. Milton believed in a government who would stand up for the economic sector, but could care less what that dictator did through the process and post-implementation. Please inform yourself and read the book before judging a seven-minute summary.

  • Deception. As if USSR haven`t used brutal method as well, or don`t even make me begin talking about islamic barbarism.
