@DoubleDipperBrian I am not a Mormon, but that fact doesn't stop me from enjoying and appreciating this version of the hymn. Are the words of a hymn like Holy Scripture in the sense that they must remain exactly as written?

Just call it another name, use the tune, but let the Welsh keep their name for it. if you are going to change it that much...it's another song and deserves another name. No side is right or wrong : it's just another praise song that doesn't belong with this title.

True Christians have accurate translations; not revisions/versions.  So stop saying that your lyrics are acceptable when they clearly are not.
