I agree that it did look like he tried to perform a wake-up parry, but I still feel as though Ike throwing a Rose then performing a command overhead, or else an EX short swing or machine gun (btw what is the name of Dudley's dash back punch?) that he would have have been far more likely to result in a win.

As for what I think in regards to before the HK connected... Rikimaru HAD to be expecting a chip KO, and from what I can tell from the video I think he did a wakeup parry before the HK and because he had nothing to parry the HK just came out. I say that because he didn't do it the moment he woke up.

I misunderstood. I thought you meant jet uppercut after the close HK but you meant on wakeup. Think nothing of it.

Don't quote me on this, but IIRC I've rarely seen Rikimaru perform wake-up parries (esp not with Chun-Li). Also, for Ike, there was always the option of Ike throwing a Rose :/

Personally I think he choked, plain and simple.
