A sobbing father said it was definitely an NYPD cop who fatally delayed his 11-year-old asthmatic daughter's desperate dash to a hospital -- but police cast doubt on the grieving family's claims.

Michael Ojeda said yesterday his daughter, Briana, died after a uniformed officer in a police cruiser tried to box in a car driven by his wife, Carmen, as she tried to rush to Long Island College Hospital.

"He was NYPD from the 76th Precinct. It was right on the side of the car," Ojeda told The Post.

But police showed photos of all the officers in the precinct to Carmen Ojeda and other witnesses, "and none has been picked out," NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said.

I have asthma BAD and believe me when it is bad a Rescue inhaler only works for mins or not at all  this was not the answer. Cop should have escorted them to the hospital ASAP

Having an asthmatic child and not having a rescue inhaler, which would have prevented this just as much as fast medical response.

First, the women is NOT a retard for going down a one way during a fight/flight situation. she could have easily not seen the sign since her only concern was that of her child. Secondly IRT "nothing could have been done", the officer could have easily recognized that a child was in distress and escort them to the hospital instead of detaining them. Are you trolling here or being serious? If so your morale compass is off.
