@XNinjaSebX Yeah. Just experiment and figure out what works for you. I can't mix fat or protein with fruit or it screws me up. But it is quite fun to play around with different foods and flavors.

@CarrionSmile It's true that bad combining can taste pretty bad and make you feel like crap! I had some pretty bad experience myself when I started out making complexes smoothies but the drink Rich made in the video seems pretty fine to me. It does seem like he throw tons of things but really it's simply :
carbs (fruits)
proteins (vega, hemp and rice)
liquid (coconut milk + some almond milk)
a little fat from flax oil peanut butter and cashews.

@XNinjaSebX But he also adds a million ingredients to his blender, which creates nasty flavors, bloating and indigestion. Combining just a few different nutrient dense foods every few hours is probably gonna feel a lot better than throwing in a bunch of crap in a vitamix and gulping it down. that's my opinion.

Where can I find all ingredients?

@cheryleluna As much as I like whole foods I have to say that it's pretty much impossible to get all your calories from whole food while training at a high level like Rich does.
If you compare the diet of Rich to the typical diet of high level endurance athletes which is loaded with processed energy bars, processed whey and soy proteins, gels, pasta and cheap meal replacement like ''ensure'' you'll how much more ''real'' his diet is.

The 20 dollar smoothie drinks like this are not in the price range of the average person. The supplements this man uses especially the vega ones are terribly overpiced and by the looks of things he has around 20 BOTTLES at least of this fairy dust.

@Roxiedice
Did you even watch the video?
The only powders he put in there were the hemp protein & vega optimizer & rice protein..
HippiePower3 1 year ago
@Roxiedice the different types of protein powders is so that he gets ALL the essential amino acids, which is so his body can actually absorb the proteins at an optimal level. plus this guy is about to do Ultraman. vegan or not a person going to compete probably makes huge protein smoothies like this every day before and after workouts

Give a me a break. Look how many tubs of different powders this guy is throwing into ONE shake!! Not to mention a 450 dollar vitamix to blend it all up. No thanks

Great video Lester & Roll. I've been following Roll's progress for some time now. Wish both of you guys the best at UM!
I'll never be plantstrong, but I love that you guys have educated yourselves and are smart about meeting your needs. Best part of all... I saw no soy go into that drink :)
