This is quite a sleek demo with of course an excellent music track. The graphics are nicely coloured, and I particularly like the dark blue (i.e. not black) background.

Each mandlebrot is displayed in cycled colours while the next is drawn to a backbuffer. You can flip to the backbuffer prematurely using the right mouse button (which I do once at the beginning).

I do think it would look smarter if the first picture came pregenerated. On the other hand, that would have increased the file size which was always such a big issue in the days of 800K floppy disks.

Also, the translation effect could have been smoother, for example a dissolve or fade-out rather than just immediately flipping to the next image.

I don't think Mandelbrots are really the best fractals for colour cycling. I would rather have seen a static soft palette. For the ultimate colour cycling demo search for "Amstrad CPC Backtro Overflow".

Yes, I know I complain a lot and it's not like my own demos were so wonderful. It's just the benefit of hindsight. Anyway, I wouldn't be uploading it to YouTube if I didn't think this demo was utterly fantastic.
