The newest feature to OnStar and 2011 GM vehicles, is the OnStar My Link cell phone application. This app will let you check on your car and also control basic features. Now from any distance you can remotely lock, unlock, start, or activate the horn and lights. You can also check current mileage, gas level, and tire pressures from anywhere you have cell service. If your car is at the airport and you are on vacation you can make sure you vehicle is safe and sound. This app is perfect for anyone that has a person they are responsible for on the road, for example first time drivers, students away at college, or for the older independent driver! If this app does not give you peace of mind, I don't know what will. The app can be added to any compatible Android or I phones from the app store. The vehicle requirements are any 2011 GM vehicle with an active OnStar subscription that is equipped with generation 9 Onstar. @Tizzlin you might want to double check, they just released a new batch of vehicles about 2 weeks ago. Also you can blame OnStar not me :)
