"Oh, did you hear the funny and clever thing I said last week?" LOL

What is this?... BetaMax?

Thanks for this video. FYI, one more Algonquin "guest" appears in Natalie Ascencios's painting, besides those identified in the clip: The smoke from Benchley's pipe doubles as an inverted portrait of Matilda, the latest in a succession of rescue cats who've enjoyed the run of the hotel lobby over the years.

Looks square to me.
Buy J. Bryan III's "Merry Gentlemen (and One Lady), written in 1985. It's a lost classic. You'll love it.

thanks for this, as a Harpo obsessive i'd love to visit ... only cash and the Atlantic stand in my way ... the gentle vid made my morning.

Thank you so much for posting this informative video! I have just begun reading about the rich history of the Algonquin round table, but it has already become a dream of mine to visit the hotel! I have a deep affection for New York City.

Thanks for uploading, wonderful history. The place does have a heavy vintage vibe to it. One place I'd love to visit.
Thnaks for this video, I have always wondered what the Rountable was like. Is it really the original roundtable?

No, this is not the original table. The hotel lost it a long time ago. The one now in the Round Table Room dates to 1998.
