  • These French dudes are soooo ready if the British ever decide to attack again. Except they didn't have a ball in the cannon.

  • Also normally a cannon had at least 5 men to clean, load, ram and shoot. Further you can not load the cannon instantly again, since the barell interior needs to be swiped clean (with a wet cloth) or otherwhise the smolder residue will ingnite the new charge and blow the loader into pieces.

  • First of all muskets where not that inaccurate anymore in the 18th century, more over for "snipers" there where already rifles invented.

actually in the american scenario of the 7 years war there was a lot of skirmish and ambush combat that required quite accurate shooting.

However - the engl. and the fr. regulars sticked to european warfare rules that stated to not kill Officers.

Uniform colors also had a moral effect.

  • @azookid lol....musket snipers......lol

  • Actully for a good shot with a musket, they would have to be alble to see the white of the eyes......so there would be no point for "musket Snipers"

  • Don't worry you didn't , it is the 18th century ( the 1700 hundreds.... Louisbourg was from 1713 to 1758)

  • Maybe if they could bayonet charge through the harbour that the cannon is facing ;)

  • Yeah the british would have already taken that position by a bayonet charge if they load this slow.

  • Wouldn't the bright red uniform stand out only too well for the musket snipers?

  • I dont mean to be a smart ass......but it's actullay the 17th century :)
