Ok I just wanna say F you to all the people out there who are saying a girl is a boys property when they're dating. That is absolutely not true. A woman is a person not an object she has a choice about what she does and if she wants to leave the guy, she can. He has no right to force her to do anything, much less call her his "property"

@Lutomoria "America" is not a culture. That might be where your confusion lies. Like I said, in the U.S. when a guy has a steady girl (AKA "main squeeze"), she is his property just as much as his car. Let's just be honest here. He can do with her as he pleases and no one else can - he has dominion over her. This is basically the legal definition of what is one's property. He has title to her, dominion over her doby to do as he pleases.

@Robert111 I meant dating as in long term. She isn't his property. She may be "his girl" but doesn't own her. In some cultures the men do, but in America, men do not own their women. If they did, I'd move away.

@Lutomoria Just dating is a different matter. But if there is a steady long-term relationship where the girl is "his girl", she's his property. This is at least the way it is in the United States. I'm sure in other cultures it's different.
