  • Well, Bush wasn't the only one that dropped the ball during the Hurricane Katrina/New Orleans catastrophe.

The Mayor of New Orleans (Ray Najin & the former Governor of Louisana (Kathleen Blanco) both democrats, shares plenty of the blame, too. Of course, their names are not mentioned whenever Bush's name is brought up on this issue. I wonder why. After all both NewOrleans and Louisana had a mayor and governor at that time.

  • Thank you for viewing the video. If you look deeper into the images, you will notice that both Nagin and Blanco are there.

  • Is she the Susan Cowsill who, in the 70's sang the song I THINK OF YOU ?

  • Yes

  • Hey Susan Im from the UK and been doing a lot of catching up with your family and your music. Love everything you do and stand for. Keep fighting and take care :)

  • @Yesteryear47 I agree. Not only that, but the people of New Orleans received plenty of warning and failed to leave for what ever reasons. I think we have learned from this tragic experience though.

  • Your new CD is great Susan. I'm a 54 yr. old musician/singer/songwriter. I love the Cowsills. I've been following your family since I was a teenager. In 1970 I jumped the fence behind the Minnesota State Fair grandstand, got backstage and met your family for autographs. I was thrilled. So sad for the loss of your brothers Bill and Barry. I am battling breast cancer. It's damn scary. I've been listening to beautiful, wonderful Cowsill music through my treatments. Thank you.

  • thank you susan for opening up my eyes, i can't imagine what it was or is like there now.....their still talkin' shit, susan...what has to be done for them to listen. thank you so much, god is watching us all

  • Love this song...Thanks, Susan. You and your family live in my heart...Geoff

  • @Yesteryear47 I'm not a Dem but I rode out Katrina, and I can say this to you, the Gov and mayor was in the middle of the crap down here fighting for life like all of us, losing family and friends. Bush was on the outside looking in and should have had more control of coordinating help for us...see the difference? If not you need to be in the middle of such a disaster.

  • @susancowsill

WOOT! WOOT! AH YEAH!!! I knew it! I just knew they would eventually get you on the show!

I'm very happy for you! Hopefully you can strike the iron, for you will be white-hot after the show airs.

    KICK ASS! :o)

  • @b1aflatoxin You're getting more than your wish! We perform 2 songs in episode 8 of season 2, and we're about to film something in episode 10 too! Thanks so much for your wishes!

  • Bush OFFERED help on national television the day before the Katrina struck. The governor of Louisiana made it clear that they could handle their own problems and federal aid was not welcome. The day AFTER Katrina, they cried like babies about how Bush didn't do his job.

If the governor of Louisiana or the sorry-ass mayor of New Orleans had been worth a damn, they could've used public transport to evacuate their citizens. A whole fleet of school buses underwater. Smart.
