Here is how to replace the screen on a netbook laptop computer. The computer is a Gateway LT2016U netbook. Other models of Gateway netbook computers may also be assembled the same way, but I don't know for sure. If the screen on your netbook laptop computer is broken, it's cheap and easy to fix, or at least it's cheaper than buying a new netbook or laptop. I bought the replacement screen for this Gateway netbook laptop computer on ebay for $50 with free shipping. When selecting a replacement screen, you can choose a glossy or matte finish replacement screen. My Gateway L2016 computer had a glossy screen originally, and I replaced it with a matte finish screen. I like the matte finish screen a lot better, especially in bright places, where there is a lot less reflective glare than on a glossy screen. I hope this video helps you learn how to replace the broken screen on your Gateway L2016 netbook laptpo computer.
To change the screen, pull on the inside part of the plastic screen cover to remove it from the screen. You may need to use a butter knife or fingernails to pry it from the computer.
Next, unscrew the 4 corner screws, and 2 more at the bottom of the screen above the bottom corner screws.
Then unplug the microphone electrical connector and untape it from the back of the old screen.
Unscrew the 4 screws on the edges of the hinge rails, which connect the screen to the rails.
Untape the tape around the netbook's electrical screen connector, and gently unplug the old screen.
Reverse the above instructions to install the new screen on your Gateway LT2016 netbook laptop.

  • how do you know its glossy ? has to be LED or LCD ?

  • @elbabii You would have to ask the seller if it's glossy or matte. The person who sold me mine on eBay didn't say in the ad, and I ended up with matte. To make sure you get a screen that fits your computer, search eBay for the model number of your computer. It is an LCD screen.

  • @hoohoohoblin yea thx it came glossy and i was able to change it thx to ur help ( ur video) thank you a lot !!

  • @elbabii You're welcome! I'm glad I could help.

  • thanks for this video because i was about to take my whole notebook apart lol

  • @MrChuckone You're welcome. Different laptops come apart differently, and this Gateway is really easy to get apart and back together without breaking anything.

  • Well, that was very helpful. The second I saw it flash...that was sweet. That video is a good example why people should fix old things. You learn, save money and it's fun!

  • another good video, but you are really distracting me from my porn consumption. I have been using a trash picked lap top for the past 2 years... More people should DIY, and I find your vids helpful, but then again, I have a sporty too LOL.

  • @DarkFlightVlogs Thanks! There are things I can't do, but I delete those videos so no one ever gets to see them. This job was actually really easy. Some laptops are impossible to take apart and put together without destroying them.

  • Damn you make a lot of helpful videos....is there anything you can't do ? ....lol.
