I think you are wrong.
Goju Ryu Karate had these movements for many years as far as I know.
Traditional martial arts have many movements including ground work kicks throws and much more.(Judo had kicks and punches),
The influence it has absorbed mostly came from China and Okinawa.
We see dojo's today that mainly focus on competitions, in competitions you only use techniques that will help you win the competition. In traditional Martial arts you learn much more than that.

You guys are fooling yourselves. Kata guruma and juji gatame are NOT Goju Ryu Karate techniques. There are NOT apart of Goju Ryu curriculum of techniques and are NOT in any Goju Ryu Karate. This demostration is trying to make it seem as if those technique have been apart of Goju Ryu Karate and they are NOT!

@sabakimsg soft arse ! no influence from BJJ or Judo ! BJJ was not even invented when Okinawans were formulating karate ! this is influenced by Chinese martial arts well before the start of the 1900's ! you need to know more about the history of martial arts before making comments fool !

First of all YouTube has brought the world to see many Martial arts and many demonstrations that we couldn't see before.
I am a student of Goju Ryu karate about 17 years and I saw demo's like this since my early days in Goju System.
I think you did not explore much before you wrote this comment. Please see that these pushing hands are movments done by many martial arts like Kung Fu and Taichi and others. (Different variations) Bjj Came from Japanese jj, So it has similar roots.

Why is it than that after all these many years of existence
there wasn't a Goju Ryu karate demostration that included
typical Judo and Bjj ground fighting techniques until NOW?

i am not into karate this demo is fantastic and shows what depth and completeness this system/style has
It is clear to me that this demostration shows alot of influence from Japanese Judo and Brazilian Jiujitsu.
