@BigScary529 Not soldering involved, but a lot of screws ;). And yes it is a stop motion technic. However you can use C if you would like to program your robot the "old" way :)

@27Loco 8 hours!!! Is their soldering involved or something, lol? Why so long? Aren't there detailed instructions? The programming is pretty much you moving your robot into pose after pose and clicking save, ala stop-motion photography and movies...correct?

@BigScary529 It takes hours if you first built your robot. ~8 hours for the Premium. Programming is also not that difficult. Try and error ;) Robotis has many Examples.

@BigScary529 I started with the beginner kit, in order to look if everything works for me and quickly realized that the Premium is the way to go. You can build so many different robots.
You can buy the Premium Kit and then you will learn how to built one :). They have a good manual, a lot of programming examples and a huge community.

@27Loco I've never built a robot but am terribly interested. In your opinion, do you think that I could build a premium, having never built one before or should I just start at beginner or comprehensive?

hi. I just upgraded my comprehensive kit to premium. I have currently got it in the basic Humanoid C deign. Is your deign here a variation on one of the three types? (A,B,C) or did u design it all yourself. I notice the servos in the foot to be different as well the extra one in the stomach.. above the hip. I really like this design, any tips you can give me would be great! Thanks!

@EMcl2 Just started from scratch. This Design is however not very stable. The additional hip has its problems. The center of weight is way to high then. The leg design is from a custom Bioloid by Company Best Technology. Look for the YouTube User best959. :)
