This is my visual rendition of "Where Do the Children Play?", a powerful song by Cat Stevens(Yusuf Islam) whose words have increasing relevance in our times. The footage was edited using iMovie3. This video was produced by request for a live program called, Night of Remembrance: Yusuf Islam & Friends Live at the Royal Albert Hall.

  • Your video blew me away and bought more than a tear to the eye. Amazing job!! It's been a long time since a home made video affected me on such a deep level ...thank you ♥

  • @shika2u , thanks and God-bless for taking the time to write. I am deeply touched by your words and also still by this timeless song. Peace be upon you.

  • You have made a beautiful film to go with this beautiful song. I am 60 years old; I was a young man still in college when I first heard Cat Stevens sing this song. It is more relevant now than ever before, and that makes me sad. The beautiful little Asian boy in your film who stands in front of the auto, who looks thoughtful and not a little melancholy, embodies all that the song implies. Thank you for this film and for the work you have put into it. It is appreciated.

  • @kenstearman, Peace be upon you

Thank you so very much for your generous, kind and insightful words of support. I feel very moved by your comments just as I am still very moved by this song. May we continue to ride the Peace Train together and invite others to join us! ;)

  • GREAT VIDEO! lots of talent, well done! A great song with such truthful lyrics, by a legend. Thanks for this. Peace.

  • @FunnyNamed and they'd flip our bicycles upside down run the vin numbers while using profanities and treating us like criminals!

  • @vipmd you still can't do that. :)

  • You know, back in the seventies, Cat Stevens was deported for "terrorism."

Why would anyone want to deport this guy?!

  • I remember when I was 6 or 7 my father would put this cd for when I went to sleep at night. Now being 14 I love 60s and 70s classic rock. it's so heartfelt and emotional just the vers"but tell me where do they children play" is so beautiful. could Listin to that one line for hours.

  • freedom, freedom for everyone!

  • when i was a child you couldn't play anywhere without the police searching your pockets and giving you a hard time.

  • Nice rendition. Join the alliiance for childhood which champions the child's right to play. Find them by writing their name as one word with o r g behind it.
