the brakes went out on my skylark and i t boned a van. rest assured im still going to fix my car (even though i only have liability insurance). but i thought maybe you guys will feel a bit safer in ur cars knowing my cars frame was not even scratched

Get rid of the 2.73's. depending on your tire size. 3.73 - 3.90 is a start. step up the cam, without going over board, headers, better intake manifold, go through the heads, install larger intakes, roller rockers. That would be a good start.

Who here knows the most cost effective way to get a 72 skylark 350-4 with a TH350 trans, and a 2.73 rear into the low 13s? I'm all up for part swaps. i just wanna keep the original motor.

what does it mean to port heads? how does polishing have any effect on the performance?

the cheapest way probably would be just takin the heads and having them ported and polished that will give you a whole shit load of power
