No that's not formal training...that's the show making him take lessons for a TAPING OF THEIR SHOW....no Mario IS TELLING THE TRUTH..no formal training....

@TubeGuest5178 The show had a choreographer. They would spend the week before taping learning & perfecting 3 dances. That is basically what he was doing on DWTS. Some of the other dancers who didn't go on to be famous, are now dance choreographer themselves.
This show didn't feature masterpiece dancing, but they also didn't just picks random kids off the street. Every dancer on the show was a pro, meaning they had formal training which allowed them to audition and get hired.

everyone here is fucking stupid. he's making jokes and not realy trying to out mario lopez in some scandal. everywhere here is so offended as if hes really trying to fuck over lopez. it was a good excuse to show some embarrassing footage of his younger days and he sucks anyway.

So? that dosen't mean that he did have professional trainning and Mario said so himself, he used to dance when he was a kid but he didn;'t have proffessional trainning.

This was a joke. You know late night tv does that.
he did however have professional trainning. He was on this show for 3 seasons doing all kinds of dances that a person can't possibly mimic by watching others, not to mention the show itself had a choreographer taught them each weeks dance routine.
Lets see they did anywhere from 1 to 3 different dances per show. So during filming Mario probably had dance rehearsals 3 times. First to learn the moves, then to get them down before filming it.
