On December 30, 2009, Stephen Harper requested that Governor General Michaelle Jean prorogue parliament until March 3. And this just over a year after his last request... It's time to wake up!

Since Jean Chrétien prorogued parliament 4 times...I agree! ... the lie-beral party is downright scary.
I hope we continue to keep corruption out of the gov't.

Actually...the corruption of the lie-beral party was an international embarassment that Mr. Harper has been successful at repairing.

I completely agree with the two comments below. Harper is downright scary and I predict this second desire to prorogue parliament will lead to his undoing next election. He will never ever get a majority with this kind of ostrich, dictator behaviour. I must say that I have never felt this level of mistrust in another human being. He is skeeming, manipulative and a control freak. Time to pray this man away.

Jesus! Doesn't anybody remember Germany in the 1920's and '30's? Harper's actions bespeak an obvious and fundamental contempt for the democratic and parliamentary processes.

Remember how Canadian Prime Minister 's of past talked to the media? How they'd be caught coming down stairs or walking through the halls of Government buildings and stop for a moment and speak to to citizens of Canada? Harper does lots of speeches - but NONE to Canadians. He got in office and STOPPED ALL MEDIA FROM SPEAKING WITH HIM. He does speak on stages around the world to citizens of other Countries - but NEVER to Canadians!!!!
Now prorogue-ing Parliament?
He is a dictator - wake up!!!!
