I have a cysts on my right ovary should it been tested for ovarian cancer?
I am very scared to have surgery so i have posponed it my obgyn has given me some medacation to help with any pain and a follow up in a week and a half. what should i do i have never had any kind of surgery nor have a had anything like this before

And how do they check you for ovarian cancer? Ultrasound or another painful way?

but people don't always know whats going on! i am currently going thru the tests to hopefully prove I don't have it! is sad really that it isn't so black and white! i mean they gave me the Ova1 test to test it, i am told that that test can have a false positives, i tested positive! But all those symptoms seem to be happening! i guess I'm scared that the reason this is taking so long is to drive me crazy! something needs to be done to help the women understand and take this disease seriously!

I have a swollen left ovary. I can feel it myself. I had an ultrasound. I still have periods even thouht I am 52. Periods and pms make me sick for 2 weeks of every month. I hope nothing is seriously wrong.

I'm being tested for this right now. My doctor has ordered 2 ultrasounds and blood tests for things which include a blood test for ca125. I saw him twice for these symptoms, the first time he said I gained weight due to depression but the second time I insisted to be checked. Guess I'll find out soon.
