Christina Chan tries to show Tibetan flag at Olympic venue

Security officers at an Olympics event in Hong Kong have removed a university student from the audience who tried to display the Tibetan flag.




Human rights and pro-democracy activists demonstrate at a Hong Kong equestrian competition venue on Friday.
2 of 2 Seated in the front row Saturday, Christina Chan displayed a placard bearing the Canadian flag during the equestrian competition in a Hong Kong suburb.

But hidden beneath the Canadian flag was the Tibetan flag, and when she tried to display that banner a few security officers asked her to leave.

When she refused they carried her out but did not arrest her, says event spokesman Mark Pinkstone
