Someone asked me "Are the Hippies dead"?

I said "Yes they are definitely dead"

They said "What if one of the episodes received like a MILLION views, would you make more episodes"?

I said "well you know we are very busy with DanTraveling, and it is loads of fun, so I don't foresee that happening"

They said "Thats not NO is it"?

I said "He he, ok if they receive a MILLION views (in the voice of Dr. Evil) I'll figure out a way to make more episodes"

They said "Post that live scene, take out the cartoons, and put it on its own page, all by itself, and I'll stop asking"

So in an effort to finally put this idea to rest, I am posting only ONE segment from the 24 minute pilot we wrote. It is actually the ONLY segment we shot with live actors. I am quite certain it wont receive a MILLION views, but i do hope people will see what a great job everyone involved did on this small project.

So we have re-posted it.

  • Thanks Dan!...I enjoyed the episodes that were produced...It's nice to know how it all turned out...Poetic justice all around!

  • Your very welcome, I always thought this series had legs, but sometimes things just seem funny to a few of us.

The new urbanism of today seems so absurd to me, color codes for trash cans and pea gravel requirements,

The funniest part of this series is towns like Aginworth Park actually exist. They just need some hippies to stir them up a bit!

    ha ha

  • I am disappointed that i will never find out what happens at the Aginworth Park festival!...But i know that Hippy Kryptonite was a lot of work to put together...so i understand why your more popular venture DanTraveling is what you will focus on in the future...But it would have been nice if Hippy Kryptonite could have gotten a proper series finale to tie up all the loose ends.

  • 6. The Stranger is from the Energy Commision and declares the commune a (Green Power Source) and it is protected from eviction for taxes by the Feds as long as it provides 15% of the townwith Alpaca Dung power.

  • 7. Oh and a hippy tree hugger is stuck to a tree by those strange BUG strips, the deputy writes him a ticket for loitering

    8. Ma, Jed, Sunshine, Berkely and the Naked Jamacian all make appearances.

9 and needless to say the episode ends with the Mayor and Big Jack under a pile of Alpaca Dung, which covers up the last part of the sign BIG JACKS BUTTER BARN

  • to read BIG JACKS BUTT** BARN

  • Everyone has become a hippie now, that's why it seems like they're dead, you no longer have to even openly acknowledge it, it's just there.

Let's work on weeding out the real evils in our society like yuppies and feminists.

  • They were never made, the cartoons were, but all production ceased on the live stuff. uuugh

  • Episode 4 ? Where are the other 3 at ?

  • 3. Hank and Darcy are caught making out in the boiler room of the courthouse. (this was written by uniocstudio)

    4. Lon and wife deal with the towns dislike for hippies with (Andy Taylor like tolerance)

    5. Big Jack and the Mayor find out the commune hasn't paid its taxes and order Lon to get them off the land.

  • Hi Daniel,

I thought about your comment some more and figured you deserve to know how this episode ends.

1.The Family fun festival sees Mayor Hugh Briss in front of a giant sign that reads, (Family Fun Festival Accomplished)

2.Swami Umbar gets sworn in, yes on Earth in the Balance
