Are Israeli settlers taking control of archaeological digs to manipulate
history and consolidate claims to Palestinian land? Some Israeli
archaeologists are starting to speak out.
The Palestinian village of Silwan is located just below the ancient City of
David, in the heart of Jerusalem. Archaeological digs here are under the
control of the right wing group, ELAD. The constant threat of demolition
hovers over people's houses. It's part of ELAD's program to take over and
occupy large parts of Silwan and make it Jewish?, complains archaeologist Dr
Rafi Greenberg. Locals have already defeated one plan to destroy close to
100 houses. But despite this victory, the nature of Silwan has changed
beyond recognition. As Greenberg laments?The place I knew as an Arab
village with archaeology, turned into a place with armed guards, a place
with amplified symbols of Israeli presence?.

The American Jew states "we have never lost a case in court"! Well, surprise, surprise...how can you lose in an Israeli court as a Jew arguing a case for the illegal settlement of a territory, which it considers not to be illegally occupied?

In recent years, the Jordanian wakf used heavy construction tools on the temple mount & destroyed 4000 years of precious archeology , deliberately, only to blur whatever evidence of Jewish presence there is down there.
Entrusting archaeological digs in the hand of Islam - a bad mistake to whoever cares about HUMAN history, not Just re-written Islamic history. Especially in the Land of Israel.

Or of course the Muslims allowing access and freedom to all Christians and Jews during the medieval period. (until some Christians mucked that up by killing anyone!)
The attempt to 'prove' one persons right over anothers is a falsehood... of course.. go back before the Late Bronze Age.. and you are into Caananite archaeology... so, should the Caananites have first claim?
