DC-10s had very high overheads, giving a feel of extra roominess, from what I can remember of them. These planes will definately be missed.

well, I would rather fly Cubana than most S American airlines.

Cuba is safe country and safe airline. Avoid cheapskate airlines flying from USA - they are dangerous.

@Jobafan08 it is the most dangerous statistically. When I flew to Havana on Cubana, the cockpit door came open just before landing, and I saw the pilot (or co-pilot) drinking a bottle of rum. The approach was the craziest bobbing and weaving I've seen. Plus it was an old Russian plane that felt like it was going to fall apart...I'm just glad I survived.

@Jobafan08 ------------>I dunno who gave u that impression that Cubana is dangerous....try SCAT AIR - now THAT is a dangerous flight! Their safety record is actually better than most public and private owned airlines from my country (India) at least!

@MrMariel1980 I worked for AOM and we chartered DC10-30 to Cubana and they were a wonderful airplane Loo seat or not - they flew to French specs. France has much tighter regulations than USA.
