  • The pianist is TERRIBLE. Poor dancers!

  • beautiful. the music is a little off.... ive heard it better but still, this is amazing.

  • I don't understand why every time that ballet is staged the pianist is more terrible than the previous..

(by the way.. great dancers, I don't like the choreography)

  • @ganoukorki Chopin is extremely danceable, because his music comes from the heart, and support perfectly the top expression in Ballet. My opinion: 1.Chopin Ballade N 1 is too big for this drama- the playing version is terrible and slow, passionless-. 2.Syl is so flat..the choreography only works in the slow parts.Sounds Vaudeville sometimes.Check Lucia Lacarra version with 2 tempo of Chopin piano Concerto N 1 much more expressive and Elegant. This is out of context so I agree, this piece is out

  • Sissi csodás vagy !

  • Yes, I agree that she is perfect in that pas de deux. But NO-ONE has mentioned Nicolas Le Riche and he was absolutely wonderful too.

Actually, I think he is the better actor and she is the better dancer but they are both wonderful in everything they do.

  • It is such a shame that Sylvie has not portrayed this ballet in its entirety, since she is absolutely sublime here. They play it almost every year at the Opera Garnier in Paris including this year. Didn't anyone there had the idea to propose this part to the greatest of all dancers? To come back to this extract absolutely magnificent music by Chopin. It just flows with emotion and pure beauty and the two dancers totally exprime the soul and essence of this music and the characters they portray.
