Last time I checked model rocket engines are more expensive than pretty much any type of combustible compound. Personally I would spend the money one better materials like nitric acid, mercury, and ethanol; fulminated mercury would provide far greater amusement than a model rocket engine hashed firecracker...

Also, precisely what enticed you to use a gun (though a bb gun) in order to better extract the compound from the model rocket engine?

all u friggen need is a peice of paper tape and a fire cracker first u take the tape and the paper and eat them then u light the fuse on the fire cracker and while its lit hold it up to ur eye for better quality
