It's a shame... Abe was trying to improve relations with China and take a more prominent role in world affairs. He was let down again and again by corrupt and insular ministers, the bane of Japanese politics.

I do so very hope that the new PM of Japan does *not* issue a new mandate to keep the Japanese oil tankers refilling the USA fleet in the area.
