Android Tutorial & Lessons 33: How to create a CUSTOM (aka sweet) Button

Check out the discussion @ my forum for this lesson:
http://www.cornboyz.com/

Whats up CornFanz, thanks for watching my videos, I would love it if you subscribe and give me some feedback.

In this lesson you will:
-Create your own custom Button!!
-Bam!
-Some other sweet stuff
-subscribe
-Thumbs up this video ;)

This video is the 33th in a web series that I am creating to help you learn Android programming so you can create apps and eventually how to learn to write games for android phones. I want to explain things in a way that everyone can understand, even if you have no experience with Java, XML, C++, OpenGL, or as a matter of fact, any other programming language.

If you do have a lot of experience with programming, these first videos will be really slow for you, but my goal is to get everyone sprinting, but for now we have learn to crawl.

  • thx for the tutorial. Ive got a question concerning multiple custom buttons in one activity. I looked it up in the developer guide but i didn't found a solution. Is there a way to add multiple selectors in one xml file, or do you have to create a xml file for each custom button?

  • Thanks a lot for this tutorial... but if I want to create the custom button as circle, i want only the circle to be pressed, not the the whole box which in clude the circle

  • I can't get the emulator to load. I created more memory on my PC, and it still refuses to load. Man your tutorials are sweet. Maybe eclipse will get better in a few years. Until then.... I got to look for another development tool. Failure is not an option. Peace Out.
