@machintruc313 You would think so, however as someone who practices krav and has actually had to use krav, the way we are instructed to grasp our opponent is HIGHLY effective for control. However, I have also been told to feel free to use a muay thai clinch in the even that it becomes the most effective and simple thing to do. However I can speak from experience and say that it's not always easy to get your opponent in a clinch, especially on the street.

@4seraphiel4 Yes and no. (KM Instructor here) She uses one knee in this training not only because it's her strong leg, but she would have to switch sides on her hold to throw a good knee with the other leg.
Sure, doable, and that is trained, but if she can throw knees like that (provided she's not blocked) then do it.

@channelin shelly, your statement is bizarre, if you hold the clinch too long you can easily get headbutt nobody throws elbows simulatenously whilst throwing knees in a clinch. you WILL get headbutt
-
@channelin Kind of hard to headbutt with an elbow in your throat.
-

@MrSpider732 the knees, elbows, low kicks, and some punching techniques in krav maga where all taken from muay thai's big older brother muay boran :P

thats nothing compared to MUAY THAI
she only uses one leg because it is the stronger of the two, this martial art is for use in real life and death combat situations. if you try to knee someone with your left and you don't hit hard enough or you miss your target, chances are you die. if your sides are even then fair enough mix it up, but one side is enough.

Knees are a most under-rated striking method.
Okay, so they don't have the range that kicks do... but using a knee is usually more accurate (less to go wrong you see), is quicker and you can also pull your attacker down onto it adding to the force of impact.
Also, for the person using the knees - they're safer that kicks... Ask anyone who's kicked a heavy punch bag and hit toes first....
