The entrance to Griffith Park, Los Feliz and Crystal Springs, gave a taste of the gridlock that lay ahead. Already growing short-tempered, some motorists bailed out. Others hunkered down for the 90 minutes to 2 hour journey that must be brutal for those trapped in their cars. As for the cyclists, this was one of those "woohoo" experiences as we rode through the parking lot for miles, exchanging holiday greetings with the kids we encountered along the journey.
I honestly don't see where the enjoyment is found in sitting in a car in traffic looking at Christmas lights in a park. A park! It blows my mind that people voluntarily choose to do this. We live in a strange strange culture.
