To me Mender was fine for Ember before she became chief of her own tribe, when she was care-free. But Teir helped her find some of her own strengths and weaknesses, helped her mature as chief and as such is better suited to be her lifemate.

Would it matter?? Has she had a "recognition" with either? If not, she has to weigh to consequences of what would happen when/if she does after having a love-mating with either one. I don't know...if I HAD to choose one or the other...I'd go with Mender. Teir reminds me to much of Rayeck.
