there WAS no law preventing a soldier, much less a soldier on duty AND in battle, to drink, or use. even commanding officers didn't expect half of them to come back from one mission much less multiple, they let em even if they couldn't. this was THE war where the vale on marijuana was lifted, in the field how rich mommy and daddy was, where you stand in politics, all meant nothing. it was kinda hard to turn a blind eye to the soldiers returning telling us its elementary to wage war on a plant.
