@evilbird100 The actor who played him James Whitmore jr wanted more money for the next season. So the network cancelled his contract. They didnt acknowledge the loss of Jim Gutterman in any script I know of.

Good For a Laugh!! The real Col. Greg Boyington appeared on "To Tell the Truth" one time, when the infamous Kitty Carlisle and others were the celebrity guests. Along with two wanna be's, he managed to fool 2 of the celebs and two of them guessed right about which of the three was the real Col. Greg Boyington. By God's grace, he made it that far too!!
