The only difference between Fox and CNN/MSNBC is people actually watch Fox. They have the same format, News during the day and opinion at night. The only difference is which side the opinion comes from, Fox's comes from the right, MSNBC from the left and CNN from the old left but the shows are labeled as OPINION. If you can't figure that out then you are stupid and shouldn't be allowed to breed. And of you disagree with me you are probably a racist.

You're exactly right about the message vs the medium, Penn!
Also, Greg's last name is Gutfeld! No "i"!

Weeeeeeeeelllll, Marshall McLuhan wasn't wrong. You can say the message is the message you want, but that's ignoring human psychology. Which is what libertarianism is anyway, so at least you're consistent.

And look up something called the "Compound interest paradox" Really... it's quite simple, and self-evident from its short definition that there's nothing unusual about it, nor any reason to doubt it. I'll sum it up for you briefly:
Where does money come from? Originally. There's a money supply, which is finite. Where does new money come from? The Federal Reserve, through banks. Which direction is money moving in general. Do banks give you more money than you give them?

Part2:
99% of the wealth in the nation is now concentrated in the richest 1% of Americans. That is not an accident. It was not always that way. It used to be about 80% in the upper 20. That's how most other nations are. Why is it no longer? Because of capitalism. Capitalism is a mechanism for moving money from many people, into a few people's pockets. Not for making everyone wealthy. That's literally impossible with either free-market or corporate capitalism. By definition. Go learn.

Fundamentally wrong... however it's not hard to see how one could come away after hearing all the propaganda on the subject, thinking that was so. When was the American middle class its strongest? When was America making its biggest, most enduring accomplishments? That's right, after the great depression, during FDR's latter two terms and after. The man who introduced the largest government programs to care for the poor and needy ever. More in next post.

Ah... the mostly meaningless issues that don't affect 90%+ of the population on a day to day basis, but yet make up 99% of political debate. Realize that those things are diversions from the much more meaningful issue of corporate capitalism, which is slowly turning the United States back into a feudal society of wealthy nobles and abused, deceived and clueless serfs.

The terms liberal and conservative and libertarian and others have become poisoned within U.S. debate to the point that they mean very nearly the opposite of what they originally did. You say socially moderate. To me that sounds like you're probably saying any or all of the following: "I'm against gay marriage, against legalizing marijuana, against immigration, against...etc" But you may not mean any of those things. What does "liberal" mean to you?

Good post. I'm right there with you.

Having a stupid opinion on your own is one thing. Having a stupid opinion on FOX is not only standard, but harmful. I would be upset if a friend of mine who held ridiculous views suddenly had a microphone and a voice, suddenly indoctrinating millions of FOX-sheep.

@CLRubyHypatia Agreed! I'm a Libertarian, although I can be very left or right when it comes to certain issues, and I'm an Atheist. I know a few conservatives that are skeptics as well.

@Slackdragon I guess so. Red Eye is a very cool show.
