This is such a beautiful song. Imo, the best "sad song" ever devised for a video game. I greatly appreciate all the quotes people put in here from the characters. I had forgotten many of them. Thank you all.

In the late 90s, as i watched the story of Cyrus, when he speaks to Glen on the bridge, and then how he gets killed by Magus and Glen gets turned into Frog.... THAT was epic sadness right there. :'( This song has remained in my heart since then.
I always felt like there should've been some sort of closure with Cyrus including Magus about that whole incident if you allowed Magus to join you and tag along when you went to the haunted castle. After all, Magus, Frog and Cyrus made a tragic trio.
