MEDIA ADVISORY: State Health Commissioner to Respond to Questions about Flu Vaccines

ALBANY, N.Y. (September 28, 2009) - On Tuesday, September 29, at 2 p.m. in the Corning Tower 14th Floor Conference Room, State Health Commissioner Richard F. Daines, M.D., will hold a media availability and respond to questions about both the seasonal and H1N1 flu vaccines.

Within hours after Commissioner Daines was hit with the "question" (or at least part of it) a decision was made to stop the states mandate for the H1N1 vaccine. The question or attempt had to do with his wife brokering deals at Goldman Sach for the companies that would directly benefit from the mandate.

the other vaccines and tests have been around for many years - the h1n1 vaccine was rushed and its safety is questionable to say the least. canada came out with a study showing the regular flu vaccine can actually make one more susceptable to the h1n1 virus - which will give them more pull to get the more controversial h1n1 shot given now that they've forced all to get the regular flu shot. the regular flu has killed many more than h1n1 so i dont get they hype - they must be feeling the economy

Exactly, I know a nurse, they do a great job and don't need little Himmlers dictating to them what goes in their own bodies. Unfortunaly this is likely to push some of the best most caring ones out of healthcare, leaving those who will obey orders.

What angered me in what he said is that being a nurse is really hard work for not so much money. And we're the one privileged to have them working for for so little, not the other way around.
