The Son was not forced to take up this saving work, nor did He do it grudgingly. Rather He gave Himself wholly and willingly that the objects of His love - a lost, depraved, rebellious humanity - might know forgiveness and everlasting life.

Pages Covered: 37 and 38 * For His great love towards us * John 15:9 notes * The Fathers Bargin * The Sons Contervailing Love

  • Dear fruitofspirit, 'Lovingly' definition: To show care & consideration, to help & encourage'. I would indeed be truly 'puffed up' if I thought I had all the answers, I do not.Only The Lord has all answers. This is why I felt led to encourage you to look to scripture.I apologise for my last sentence, which does suggest that you have not truly repented, on reflection I should have said: May you truly find the truth that can only be found in The Lord Jesus.....

  • 'lovingly' - ? DEFINE "lovingly."

    May I find Jesus...?

Anyone catch the arrogance of that statement?

1st, you must think quite highly of yourSELF if you assume that other humans answer to you.

2nd, you must think you've been given some authority in deciding who goes to Heaven, since you've determined I may not.

Basically, you told me that I'm ignorant, you have all the answers, but "kiss, kiss* you're "praying for me." Time would be better spend praying for yourself.

  • For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).

  • Dear fruitofspirit,

I don't think you have understood the relevance & truth of what is being said here! I would suggest that you look to scripture. We can see all truth in scripture for ourselves. But I would 'lovingly' say that you have not fully understood what Mr Washer said! Perhaps now a year has passed, you could carefully listen to this message again, but pray asking for discernment before you begin. John 5 v 21 I am praying for you:) May you truly find The Lord Jesus and not be forsaken.

  • A Trembling Soul...

    By: Sharon

Upon my waking heart..You did pour..

Your Spirit drenched my soul even more..

an awakening to Your World of Light..

dawn of the heart..gone be the night..

my humbled soul in Your Presence did kneel..

trembling with awe and a Love..oh so real..

my Lord..my King..my face to the floor..

gone is this world..it doesn't exist anymore. Remembering Your Call Lord...

  • I've never been to seminary. If I had to take a matching test where you site what school of thought came from what famous preacher--just go ahead & fail me.

But what he says about the emergent church accusing God of "child abuse" with the crucifixion, that is wacked. That's my formal opinion. LOL

Christ IS God. Propitiation isn't the eviqualent of throwing Your Oldest Child into traffic cause You are mad at all Your kids. It equates to a Father throwing Himself in the way to spare them.
