Overcoming The Enemy

Scripture:
(Rev. 12:10-11 NKJ) Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now salvation, and strength and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night has been cast down.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Observation:
In the middle of all the imagery in the book of Revelation here is a strong, helpful, practical nugget of truth.

Satan is the accuser of the brethren. He is the one who condemns. He has also been cast down dethroned from power.

Now he is overcome by the blood of the Lamb the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and the word of our testimony, what we as believers have to say about his fall from power. The blood of the Lamb has defeated Satan, something we could never do on our own. But we have to add the word of our agreement, our testimony, that Jesus is Lord and Satan is overcome in our lives.

Application:
It is comforting to know that the accusing voices that try to defeat and discourage me do not come from God. Satan has been uncovered as the accuser of the brethren.

Satan has also been thrown down and conquered by what Jesus has done. Jesus blood was the sacrifice that sealed the deal on the devil. Now we have something to say about that blood and Satans demise.

We say Jesus is our Lord. He has washed us and cleansed us by His blood and Satan no longer can dominate any area of our lives.

No more fear, darkness, depression, oppression, sickness, disease, all the other stuff that is a part of Satans kingdom. We have been bought with a price and we are free. Thats the power of His blood and thats my testimony.

Prayer:
The Lord has made me an overcomer. Thank You, Lord, for Your blood and Your victory over the devil. I agree with Your word and I overcome all the works of the enemy. Amen
