  • I watched all 7 of these videos and I want to thank you so very much for posting them. I love Valentino and I loved watching this movie. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • A very sad end. I haven't been impressed with the silent movies I've seen before this one, but Camille is the first one that has really moved me.

  • Toodle-oo, Marguerite!

  • Thank you for posting this movie. It really touched me...

  • @Cascade3891 Didn't she have tuberculosis?

  • @unursing According to "Dark Lover," an excellent biography of Valentino, Nazimova had some of Rudy's best scenes cut, trying to make sure she dominated the picture. He did have a scene at the deathbed and one where he bids for the Manon Lescaut book at auction, for example, but they were both dropped.

  • The moral of the story? If you become an escort/prostitute you will catch AIDS and nobody wants you.

  • Thank you for posting this movie. I love Valentino and this was one of the movies that was soo hard to find online. I greatly appreciate it!

  • This is a beautiful film and performance . . . post Bernhardt and Duse, pre-Garbo. A piece of history I didn't know about. The set design (circles = camellias) is striking, and the death quite chilling, with no reconciliation with Armand. Valentino was truly a beautiful man.

  • the woman is ugly, but at that time, may be she was the best

  • @natralguy ,

Yep. This was a silent film. I'm not sure if the "talkies" were even possible when this was made.

  • i think they couldn't do voice back then?
