Downey and other Area E cities, along with L.A. County, battle this good-going commercial which eventually goes to 3 alarms. There was some early confusion due to the name of the business that there was type of chlorine storage involved. This turned out to be not the case. The fire occurred on a Sunday when no one from the business was on-site.

  • @Oshkoshaux37 the keys were in the building

  • Was Montebello Fire Dept. there?

  • i understand, it does smother better and is lighter and wont log up furniture, walls , ect.

just threw me off guard because im used to seeing it used with combustable liquids.

thanks for your insight, i cant wait till im done with my degree

  • The deck gun if flowing more then likely because the lever is not fully pressed (caught in the moment)

Using foam on an initial attack is much more effective when it is properly used then just water......More knockdown with less collateral damage.......using CAFS is even better.....

  • Me either!

  • why is the line on the rig spewing water ?

and how come foam is used ?

  • Excellent video!

  • Why didn't they move the trucks, was it cause they couldn't get a hold of someone t do it or did they just not see them catching on fire. Good Vid
