ZIMBABWE POLITICAL RECONCILIATION

The new unity government in Zimbabwe has pledged to work for national reconciliation, as well as tackling the countrys urgent problems, including trying to stem its worst-ever cholera epidemic and ensuring its people have enough food to eat. Its a huge task. The country has been riven by political differences between supporters of President Robert Mugabe and his Zanu-PF party, and those supporting Morgan Tsvangirai, who headed a faction of the Movement for Democratic Change (or MDC).
