Johnny Miller reacts to Craig Perry's swing. Perry would go on to win in a playoff, dropping a six iron from the fairway for eagle.

  • I don't like Johnny Miller really, but he's right. Don't everybody hate on him for his commentary on this swing. Remember, he DOES say "he hits it unbelievably good" in there. He's not discounting Craig's golfing ability, he's just saying that's one ugly-ass swing. And it is.

  • @Goynes42 You're right-on there.

  • ben hogan judged swings on ballflight not what it actually looks like so your wrong there johnny

  • @chadeddie That swing is mad ugly and you know it

  • I dont find that swing too bad.... there are a a lot uglier ones out there for sure

  • @Goynes42 Hell, you don't draw pictures on the damned score card, the shot was stiff!!

  • i know this guy and met him. Hits everything pure. what else is there to golf? golf isn't aerobics and it doesn't matter how you look when you hit that damn ball unless you hit it pure.

  • @MrAJR76

Miller IS critical of Parry`s swing to the extreme -- right up to when the ball lands !! Then he runs with his tail between his legs and has the second insult to suggest Ben Hogan would say similar. He is wrong, I remember Ben Hogan saying that he respected all golfers, but I think if there was an exception it may be Miller, if you have read about Hogan`s life you would agree that Miller is just the sort of person Hogan would NOT have time for.

  • man, he hits em pure

  • @MrAJR76 "over the top" is shoulder spin out resulting in the typical amateur clubhead throwaway syndrome and ACROSS the line (out to in swing path). NO professional golfer would ever win on tour with a TRUE "over the top" swing. McCumber does not swing "over the top". Cswing his swing. He may be slightly above his setup clubshaft plane at impact but his clubhead still approaches the ball from inside with NO clubhead throwaway. Physics knows no other way :)

  • @db30039 well, that means he's not a hypocrite at least lol

  • @Goynes42 and aside from that it was piss funny :D
