  • you do know you can talk on 10 meters and also do cw on some of the hf bands

  • Too bad you don't have a balcony. You could use a TAK-TENNA, since they are so compact (Google it). You could also use a 'STEPP-IR' mechanically extendable dipole, to cover any band between 20 and 6 meters. Or hand a PAR 'End-Fedz' dipole out the window, or going to another window horizontally mounted somehow. Of course, when 10m or 6m open up, you don't need much antenna or much power to talk far. You could literally stick a PAR 'End-Fedz' for 10m on a fishing pole out the window and talk.

  • Do you have access to the attic?? When I was antenna restricted in my 2nd floor apartment, I strung multi-band dipoles in the attic..

  • If you really can't use an antenna outside a Slinky antenna stectched as much as possible along your ceiling would do okay! They have a GREAT selection on EBAY.

  • I have lived in an apartment for over 8 years. I guess I have to ask do you have a balcony? On Ebay you could get a fiberglass mast on your balcony and Run the Slinky along that??? This would only be good if you don't have neighbors upstairs. Another Idea is to just get a G5RV and string it from a tree outside,G5RV are nice antennas that do well for the money!

  • @AngelandPrisilla

I wish it was that simple for me,for us single folks easier said then done!

  • Cancer much???

If youre in an upstairs apartment, if throw a random wire out the window and tune it and use a balun. Maybe get an MFJ artificial ground?

  • I park my car outside, throw a 10m extension antenna cable out my 2nd floor window and use a HF mobile antenna on my car with a magmount. Works brilliant. It's a SPX100 from Moonraker, not sure if you can get them in USA? You could always move your antenna closer to the window or as one guy said, throw a wire out the window with a balun and use a tuner!

  • Just fucking move bro

  • hey go to ebay in look up a slinky antenna they run anywhere from $28 us dollars to I think the gold ones go for around $120 us dollars so try that their small in easy to tune a good amount of them will do 80-10 meters with a tuner in put it from one side of your ceiling to the other good luck 73's

  • build a loop antenna and run it around the celing of your apartment, right where the celing meets the wall. and use thumb taks to hold it up...
