@Elc22 cramming a piston to a BCG not designed for it is hardly making it better. The linear "floating" BCG was designed as the piston and not designed to be struck from above it's center axis by another piston. You want a piston gun get one designed with one from the ground up. Piston guns need stacked an railed BCG. 416 is having problems of its own. And companies have been doing it Long before hk. (rhino system)

@Maceofblades yes they filed bankruptcy "re-org" and are no longer making rifles. Ratworx is no longer offering it on there "rifles for sale" portion I there website either. I don't even think they are sellin many parts either "maybe the hybrid bolt an charging handle"

@X6iiMpact6X you mean a HK416 is what happened when HK looked at the M16, and decided to fix and improve many of the bad points of the gun. not really on steroids, more like, they built an M4 the way its supposed to work.

@X6iiMpact6X ...what? im sure many people will disagree with you on that, just take a look at HK weapons for example, they use the M4 as the somewhat low bar they compare their weapons to (since its so popular).

search up M4 vs HK416 and view the "over the beach test" HK did.

if you want a reliable gun that is not going to jam or fail you in combat, get something from HK, not Colt. American gun makers tend to tailor for shooting ranges, Germans tend think about actual combat.

@X6iiMpact6X The M4A1 will never be better than any of its contemporaries. How many other weapons use the direct impingement system? I think there was a French battle rifle that used DI, but that's about it. Wonder why?
