I couldn't find any video of it being down so I kept trying it. And now a video. Folks said to set the elevator throw all the way in...max throw. I was able to get it to fly inverted the day before with the throw all the way out. The elevator is real touchy now as you can see in the video(my first flights with this setting). I'm going to move it back out because it flys better and is less touchy.

When going inverted, I was always giving it up elevator to soon. Get into a loop and let it come over the top a bit, then up elevator. It will turn a little bit but I haven't tried that much. Split S is the best way to get out if you are high enough. The day before I was able to roll it over just before a stall into a slight breeze. Good Luck!

  • Hi! I crashed my Ember 2, and I think either the propeller is not properly aligned or I've got a bent prop shaft, as there's a lot of vibration when I push the throttle. How would you fix/replace the prop shaft?

  • @QwertyPound buy a new shart online ar at your LHS. There is a small plastic nut that holds it on. 2 minute changeout. watch for the little brass washer.

  • Why?

  • @SNDNGRKLR Why not? :)

  • @robjinhouston Okay, thanks!

  • There are a lot of factors working against inverted flight in this airplane... thrust line, chamber, and dihedral. Change some of these and it'll do outside loops if you want! :)

  • I went to a larger field today and got the ember to fly inverted VERY WELL, and for a very long time. It isn't to hard to fly inverted actually and it can hold it's balance with just the rudder. I am working now on converting the video file(as my editing software won't accept the current format from my new vid camera), then I will edit and post it. True inverted LONG flight. I'll let u know once updated, I might post as a vid response to this vid.

  • I agree, if you can hold the wings level, I can see going longer, when it starts to fall out, it's hard to get it back.

  • I got an ember just a couple days ago. This thing flys great. Easy to do loops. Also, upside down flight is quite possible. It can't be sustained for a super long time, however, it can be for much longer than shown in this video. I was able to fly well over 100feet inverted keeping the wings parrallel to the ground, then a simple half-loop to get back to normal. A little higher altitude than shown in this video helps much as well.

  • You are correct, I'm done with inverted...mostly. buddy wanted to see it fly at our field...real calm, up high, about as much as you see here. safer in the dirt and higher!
