June 1, 2011: "Malibu Surfrider Beach water quality (at the lagoon outfall) has scored an "F" grade during dry weather for the last three years on Heal the Bay's annual report card. This year's annual score was lower than last year. Also, this past year it earned weekly poor grades (D or F) during dry weather over half of the time." Mike Grimmer, Heal the Bay - Beach Report Card

EcoMalibu is a California Non-profit and 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt public benefit organization. MISSION: Recover and restore the historic wetland in the heart of Malibu to educate about the h2o ecosystem.

This five-minute video promo introduces the story. Your tax deductable funds will help produce the full length documentary.

  • Another concern is Tapia, which DOES NOT treat for pharmaceuticals or Polio but they do claim their water is drinkable. Kind of contradictory, don't you think? The EPA allows it too.

  • Check out #3 version of The Flipside of Malibu to see the Pepperdine system.

  • Don't know about your aquafer. You might check with Richard Ambrose, lead scientist of the 2000 UCLA study or Mark Abramson who used to be Heal the Bay's captain of the Malibu Creek "Stream Team" for 10+ years. Mark is with the SM Bay Commission now and Richard might still be with UCLA. Pepperdine discharges through the Marie and Puerco Canyon storm drains, not Malibu Creek as the opponents of the Lagoon project would have everyone believe their misinformation.

  • wow, i lived 2 miles up cross creek rd. across the creek from brody's, on a ten acre avocado farm. (it's the biggest one piece property in the cross creek area) i pumped up 3million gallons of water per year from our well to water the avocados, do you think the aquafer has toxic water ? the avocados are being sold to mission avocados in oxnard, then sold to ralphs. i heard peperdine just dumps all thier waste into cross creek.
