Whale watching at Half Moon Bay - about 4 miles off-shore from the 'sno-cone' radar at the harbor. These are Calif. gray whales on their return migration to the Bering Sea from the Baja lagoons. Filmed Mar 7 2009, about 11:30am -- swells about 6-10 feet at 10 seconds from the NW, water temps about 50F, winds at about 8-10kts from the NW, conditions otherwise clear.. The first gray whale breach (jump) happens about 30 seconds into the video -- followed immediately by another breach.. the website for the boat is www.fishingboat.com -- a good outfit...
