Christopher Johnson McCandless o Alexander Supertramp (12 Febbraio 1968 -- 18 Agosto 1992) è stato un nomade americano trovato morto nei pressi del Parco nazionale di Denali. Ha viaggiato per due anni negli Stati Uniti e nel Messico del nord, fino a raggiungere l'Alaska, da solo con poco cibo ed equipaggiamento, un viaggio nelle terre estreme.

è incredibile la fine che ha fatto. E non era isolato come credeva Lui. era a1 ora da 2 capanni (anzi 3 ) pieni di cibo; al fiume dove non ha potuto guadare, qualche miglio più giu c'era una fune con un cestone dove avrebbe potuto attraversare, più su invece si stri ngeva (e pure li avrebbe potuto guadare. Lui ha distrutto la mappa ed era convinto di essere chissà dove ma era molto vicino alla civiltà. lo dimostra anche il bus, ultimo rimasto dei 3 che in origine servivano agli operai.
