  • Hi bruce, can you tell me what the Field of View is for the 720p camera?

I used a FE-12 180 degree lens from deal-extreem on a standard type 8 keychain for videos, as the FOV was too narrow.

I have 2 videos on youtube that demostrate this:

    iFlyByWireless

  • @iFlyByWireless I haven't measured the FOV but you can see from the two sample video segments I posted (my SD wide-screen camera and the keychain 720P version) that it has a much wider FOV than my camcorder.

Right now I'm wondering if it's worth spending time to make a system that will use the camera in "webcam" mode in conjunction with a spread-spectrum 900MHz downlink to create a digital hi-res (but not HD) video downlink. Apparently in webcam mode they have a resolution of 640x480.

  • i checked where i live (West Virginia) it's legal if it's under 3watts.

  • @Lithoushine That's only for channel 1 -- the other channels are on parts of the band that are internationally allocated to aircraft navigation, collision avoidance and secondary radar. Outside the USA, channel one is allocated to GSM mobile use so there's no legally usable frequency available from these devices "as shipped".

USA residents are lucky -- the rest of the world are not.

  • you can give me a neck strap they dont send me anything

  • if its strong enough you could use it for other things like a one point sling for paintball or airsoft if others are keen had a little bit of luck with a massey uni lanyard for a bit then it broke but was kinda funny

  • what site did you order?

  • Use the neckstrap to hang your planes on the wall..

  • Bruce, where can I send a t-shirt and what size do you wear (L, XL or XL)?

  • when you do the PC power supply charger. please include how to make the power supply work when it doesn't have an on off switch on the casing of the supply.

  • what I would like to see from the goverment is an actual chart showing the legal frequencies that are open to free usage, and the max power, because there is no way of finding out without trawling through endless PDFs, it is incredibly annoying!

  • Hi,

as you already mentioned in this video, we here in Germany (may be in several other countrys as well) are not able to see all of your video reviews because YT is blocking them. I´m very fond of your reviews and I signed up your other YouTube channel as well. I guess you´re right, if you are using music, it seems YT don´t really care wether you have licenced it or not. The going to block it anyway. So I guess you need to write an mail to them to make things clear.

    Thanks and greetings

    Dirk

  • The only HK package i got without a neckstrap was the one with the 9x radio in it?!

  • I have an idea for the neck strap, SEND ME ONE!!! :D
